DO I HAVE TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DESIGNING TO HAVE MY DRESS CUSTOM-MADE?

No, you are taken through a dress process that helps you to confidently design a custom gown you are guaranteed to love.

ONCE I GIVE MY DEPOSIT AM I LOCKED IN TO BUYING A DRESS?

Solotu has made the payment process comfortable for it’s brides. We require a deposit to start sketching and preliminary designing, after the deposit the dress payments come in three stages. Having three stages ensures that every step along the way you are happy and you agree to move forward with the dress. If you decide after any payment that you no longer wish to proceed, you are not required to pay the balance. Once payments are made there are no refunds.

DO I PAY EXTRA FOR FITTINGS?

No, all fittings are included in the price.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED BEFORE MY WEDDING IN ORDER TO HAVE A CUSTOM-MADE DRESS?

Solotu prefers having 6 months to a year to create your dream dress. If you have 3-6 months we require a rush fee of 15% of the total dress cost. If you have less than 3 months the designer will evaluate the amount of work that needs to go into rushing you a custom-made gown, and if we can accommodate you, then the designer will let you know any additional charges.

HOW MUCH ARE THE DRESSES?

When it comes to anything custom-made pricing can vary a great deal due to the degree of detail and design work required. Each gown will be priced individually or before any deposits need to be made. Our prices are comparable to higher end ready-to-wear gowns.

CAN I HAVE MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AT THE DESIGN CONSULTATIONS?

While Solotu loves having family and friends accompany their brides through the fittings and introduction appointments it is very important that the designer and the bride are alone during a design consultation. This allows the designer to get a true feeling for what the bride and the bride alone wishes for her wedding gown. However, we would never turn away family and friends and are of course they are always welcome.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FABRIC TO CREATE A DRESS?

Solotu’s goal is to create a gown that is made of the finest fabrics, this ensures a flawless end product every time because of this, we usually do not work with any outside fabrics. However, we would be willing to look at a fabric that is important or sentimental to you.

DOES SOLOTU REQUIRE APPOINTMENTS?

It is very important to Solotu that the bride has one-on- one time with the designer. In order to ensure that you have enough time to fully understand the custom-made process we do require appointments.
